Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan set to team up for first time on big screen
It seems a good movie is coming our way! Amitabh Bachchan has confirmed that he will be sharing the big screen with Aamir Khan in Vijay Krishna Acharya’s upcoming movie, tentatively titled Thug.
This is the first time that Aamir and Amitabh are collaborating for a film. The mega star is all geared up to partner the perfectionist in Yash Raj’s next project.
“It’s a great honour and privilege to be working with Aamir and to be working with Yash Raj again and also to work with Victor, I just look forward to that moment,” Amitabh revealed.
The official announcement about the star cast is yet to be made by Yash Raj. Thug, however, is not the final name of the movie, which is going on the floor next year.
“I don’t know if I can talk much about the film at this moment,” Amitabh insisted. “I haven’t been given permission. All I can say is that it is a very exciting subject.”
If having Amitabh and Aamir wasn’t enough, Vijay Krishna is set to rope-in Jackie Shroff as well in the movie, which is reportedly based on the 1839 English novel, Confessions of a Thug.
“After Big B, Acharya now wants to rope in Jackie for a pivotal role in the movie,” a source revealed. “Both Big B and Jackie’s roles are connected to the lead actress, who is yet to be finalised.”
