Dangal official Trailer launched | Aamir Khan in a new avatar

The much awaited trailer of Aamir Khan’s Dangal is here. In this latest avatar Aamir plays  a wrestler from Haryana – based on Mahavir Singh Phogat’s life. The real life story of the Haryana wrestler is about how he trains his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat to win an Olympic gold for India.  

Aamir is seen playing both younger and older characters of Phogat in the film, and he had put on weight up to 95 kg to play the older part and is currently in the process of bringing it down to around 70 kg.

Sakshi Tanwar plays Aamir Khan’s wife in the movie. This biographical sports drama is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who previously helmed popular films like “Chillar Party” and “Bhootnath Returns”and produced by UTV and releasing in theaters on 23 December, 2016.

Veteran actor Shabana Azmi watched the upcoming film “Dangal” at a special screening on her 66th birthday. She said it was the best birthday gift for her.

Shabana, who turned a year older, also praised the film’s lead actor Aamir Khan, director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Kiran Rao. “Watching ‘Dangal’ is the best birthday gift I could get. Thank you Aamir Khan, Nitesh Tiwari, Kiran Rao, Fatima, Sana … you are outstanding,” Shabana tweeted.
