It couldn’t get better than this! Shah Rukh Khan producing a movie on Sania Mirza, and even player love interest in the movie. The Badshah of Bollywood revealed this plan, while launching Sania’s autobiography, Ace Against Odds, in Hyderabad.
“Whenever there is a movie made on Sania, I think it will be very inspiring and it will be fantastic,” Shah Rukh said. “And I don’t know… ask her if she will let me play her love interest. But, I will produce it for sure.”
Sania is India’s leading Tennis player, and is currently preparing for the upcoming Rio Olympics. After winning the Wimbledon Championships Girls’ doubles title in 2003, she hasn’t looked back, and has become one of the leading tennis players.
The current numero uno doubles player has one WTA and 14 ITF titles to her name. Sania has six Grand Slam titles to her name, alongwith medals in Commonwealth and Asian Games.
“Sania has done more than anyone else to make our country proud,” Shah Rukh insisted. “We would remember people like PT Usha, Mary Kom and Sania Mirza who have led the way for lots of boys and girls to take up sports as a professional career and make our country even prouder.”
