Once “too short, too fat” Sunny Leone dazzles New York Fashion Week

Sunny Leone

Sunny Leone not only dazzled the New York Fashion Week, but she also became the first Bollywood actress to walk the ramp in New York. It was a sweet revenge for Sunny, who was once body shamed and got rejected to pursue career as a model.

The Bollywood diva, wearing ivory gown, was the showstopper in Archana Kochhar’s show, and received much applause at the coveted fashion week.

“It was such an amazing feeling. Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to be a model and when I turned 18, I tried,” Sunny recalled. “I was told I was too short, too fat, too commercial or they were just not interested.”

“This is my big ‘screw the negative people’ moment because this too short, too fat, too commercial girl got to walk at New York Fashion Week,” she added.

Although, Sunny looked confident, she was scared from inside while walking the ramp. “I was so nervous about tripping and falling. Also, this has been a dream for so long,” Sunny insisted. “I didn’t believe it was happening.”

Sunny, however, didn’t get time to catch up with other designers, but she managed to meet acid-attack survivor Reshma Qureshi, who walked for an Indian designer in New York.
